I have IE 6.0, operating system Windows XP. Have not
installed any new programs, downloaded anything, etc. IE
is extremely slow in loading webpages. Just started
yesterday. Prior to that, fine. I use a cable modem to
connect, and called my ISP to see if there was something
wrong on that end. They pinged my computer and I pinged a
few websites to see what my speed is. They state it is
great, so there is nothing wrong on that end. They
guessed that something may be wrong with Internet
Explorer. I went to uninstall IE and reinstall it, but in
my "Add/Remove Programs" IE isn't even listed to do so.
My ISP tech support suggested contacting Microsoft to try
and "repair" IE. Can anyone help me figure out how to do
this?

I experienced the same thing. After trying to find any info
on how to fix this, I decided to throw out IE and download
the new Netscape. Not only does this program work, but it
also has a built in Pop-up blocker. I don't think I'll be
going back to IE anytime soon.
