IE shuts down 3 seconds after opening it

Win 98 SE IE 6........ When I open the IE6 browser it opens for only 3 seconds and then suddenly shuts down. No other programs are doing this. Can anyone help? (e-mail address removed)

Did you check for a virus?

Or, try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.
