I've got a remote user who cannot see ANYTHING with his IE. We have
cleaned his system of spyware, we've checked his DNS settings, we've
uninstalled IE back to the original version that came with win98 and
reinstalled. No matter what we do, he keeps getting the "DNS Error" page.
And yes, I've run through the Internet connection Wizard a couple times.
Now, before anyone says it's a configuration issue, I installed Mozilla
Firefox on his PC and he's able to browse the web just fine. That tells me
that something in IE is broken.
Anyone got any suggestions? Oh, and there is a corporate firewall, but no
firewall on his PC and no pop-up blockers or proxy servers.
Thanks.
