ie problem

suddenly on IE getting a lot of "microsoft has encountered problem and must
close" and IE closes down ..its intermittent but driving me crazy ..whats
happening and can it be fixed

I have the encountered the same problem on my laptop. I tried disabling
addons and repairing/reinstalling. Finally I gave up and started using
Mozilla Firefox as my browser on my laptop. Haven't had a problem since.
