IE problem please help.

I have a problem with internet explorer.

I have broadband internet and when I am offline the
internet explorer automatically tries to connect to the
internet.

It does this about 60 times before it gives up. It then
waits for several minutes and tries all over again.
meanwhile it totally interupts my other programs that I
may be running.

I seriously need help.

You should try to find out what might try to open the
Explorer. (Anti virus program or any other that requiers
Internet connection.)
YOu can also run a program like Adaware, which will
remove "Spyware" from your computer.
