IE prints on last selected printer

It might be a simple matter of maintenance - if your activeX allows to set
printer, you can save default one, print through activeX and restore the
original value

I'm trying to print on two different printers. There's an
activeX dll that changes the default printer
progammatically . The problem is that even when I change
default printer, IE prints on the last selected printer.
This was an issue with earlier versions of IE. I saw in
the knowledge base, there was a solution suggested where
you can set registery value for selected printer to NULL.
Unfortunately this can only be done for IE 5.5 or less.
So the question remains, how to programmatically or
through other means, set the selected printer to NULL?
Or have IE print on Default Printer and not on the last
selected printer.
