IE is broken.

I don't know what got it. I d/l'd mozilla firefox and it works. I tried to
download
IE 7 but it would not install. I first tried to download IE6 with SP1 but
it said I
had a later version and wouldn't install. I have ran several registry
cleaners,
virus scans, and spysweeper and spybot scans but it is very clean.

The only problem is that IE doesn't work. When I click on it, I get message
that IE cannot download / from www.msn.com (my home page)." Then it
says, "IE was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is
either
unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."

I do not have a firewall running or installed. I turned off the XP
firewall. (XP home).

I tried to see if I could do a repair of IE in Add/remove but couldn't find
IE in there.

OOOOpps, I just check and Outlook Express doesn't work either. Spybot can
do updates
and Mozilla Firefox can get websites.

help please!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sending this message from other computer.

Hi Tonya,

Check your Internet Connection settings (Start>Settings>Network Settings).

You settings will depend whether you have a dial-up or network connection.
If necessary run the New Connection Wizard to create a connection from
afresh.

Regards.

Thanks Rob,
I tried that upon your advice even though I do have a connection and I did
check to see that my connection showed as working. After I did it, I saw no
change in my situation. But thank you for trying to help me.
