IE Favorites - Favorites not Displayed

Cannot see favorites in IE 6.0. Clicking on favorites can see add favorites
and organize favorites but do not see favorites. Whne attempting to import
favorites, the inport/export wizard displays a blank window for the
destination folder. IE is functinoing properly on the workstation for other
users. Any ideas what the cause is and a solution for this are appreciated.

In IE go to View > Explorer Bar > Check Favorites.

YoU might also try:

Go to Tool >Internet Options >Advanced tab
Uncheck "Enable Personalized Favorites Menu"
Click on Apply then click OK.

Display all the links on the favorites menu

Emrys - that was one of the first things I did to attempt restore of the
favorites. All it did was give me a grayed out panel onj the left of the
screen.

Jan - Already tried that and there was no change. I think this goes deeper
and may be a profile related. If all else fails I will blow away the profile
and recreate. Just hoping to find less brutal solution. Thanks anyway for
the post.

Which OS? Which File System?

How do you know it is looking at the right folder?
Is there a subfolder for Links at least?
If so, you can right-click, Explore on it and see where it is.
You can also Go Up to the parent directory (Favorites)
to see its contents in an Explorer window.

If that doesn't yield enough clues I would use RegMon and FileMon
to figure out what is really happening.

I had the same problem and after spending loads of time on helpdesks, my Dad
had me right click on the favorites folder and de-select the "hide folders"
box! Wa-laa, they now show from IE!
