IE Favorites do not show

I am using IE7 on Windows XP Home Edition. When I press the favorites button
the window opens but is empty. I have checked that the files are still there
in the folder c:\Documents and Settings\username\Favorites.

Any ideas please?

You might try an IE newsgroup, where the experts hang out.. but here's
what I would try:

There should be an option under "File" or "Edit", "Import and Export" to
import the Favorites. Direct the import to the folder where you found
the Favorites. If your old user account was damaged, and a new one was
created, that might explain why they disappeared to a different area of
the HD than is now being used.

Thanks Elmo.

I got round the problem by copying the files into the Favorites location on
a second machine then exporting from IE and importing back into the original
machine. Long way round but I got there in the end.

Cheers,
Graham
