Favorites toolbar Issue

How can I actually use Favorites Toolbar in WinExplorer (WinExp)? I can see
a Favorites Toolbar option when I click on favorites in WinExp. I can save
a favorite to that toolbar in WinExplorer but there is no actual Favorites
Toolbar where this or other favorites show up. Anything I designate as
favorite for Win Explorer ends up on Internet Exporer, which is hot very
helpful. Mixing all those different favorites or bookmarks up might be
useful under some circumstances to better (or perhaps better connected)
minds, but not for me. Apparently Microsoft sees no difference between the
two explorers although to me they are entirely separate. I use WinExplorer
(which seems to be the same as My Computer) to navigate/explore . .duh . .
what's in my computer and IE (or other browsers) to explore...duh...the
Internet. My favorite websites have no discernible connection with my
favorite document folders, drives, etc. Is there really such a thing as a
Favorites toolbar for WinExplorer? It would be very handy for me!

To be sure, if I click favorites in WinExplore or My Computer, something
called Favorites Toolbar shows up in the drop-down menu. If I move the
cursor there I can see the desired folder in the secondary menu that opens
up to the right. So I can find that favorite with just a few extra clicks
or mouse movements. But still no actual toolbar!

[Apologies if there is a double post. I submitted this 4/28 but can't find
any trace of it]

Click on one of the bookmarks in Favorites dropdown menu (in Menu bar) to
prove that there's very little difference between Windows Explorer and
Internet Explorer, both very much part & parcel of Windows OS.
To be sure, if I click favorites in WinExplore or My Computer, something
called Favorites Toolbar shows up in the drop-down menu.

One assumes you're referring to Favorites | Add to Favorites or Organize
Favorites? Yes, WYSIWYG, but it's not called Favorites Toolbar. I suppose
you could call it the Add to or Organize Favorites UI.

You may be thinking of IE's Links bar and it's available in Windows
Explorer: Right-click on a blank area of the toolbar, unlock the toolbar,
tick Links (and lock the toolbar).

Here's your 4/28 post (which does not appear in Google Groups archive of
this newsgroup due to ongoing issues on the newsserver back-end):

Thanks! Yes, what I called Favorites Tool Bar is really Favorites Bar. I
have long known that IE and WinEx were joined at the hip, if not in fact
different sides of the same coin. That may be of great benefit to some
users. But I use each is quite different from the other. As I use them any
commonality is incidental and, in most cases, distracting if not annoying.
My concern whether there really is a Favorites Bar in WinEx much like the
Link Bar in IE. .
