IE cannot open web site after upgrade

I have windows ME and have performed the latest Windows
update and now I am unable to download any pdf files from
any web site.

The message I get when when trying to download is
"Internet Explorere can not open Fil < > from
imglobal.com"

support has some srticle in regard to this if one is
running IIS. I am not running IIS. Simply Windows ME.

NEst the message Tells me the web site is unavailable but
this is not true because it is happening on three
different websties. Please tell me what I need to do to
be able to download pdf files whihc I constantly use in my
business.

I run Windows ME and had the same problem recently.
I downloaded and installed Acrobat Reader version 6
and now am able to open these files. I don't know if this
will fix your problem but it fixed mine. No idea why.
