IE and Yahoo! Mail Conflict

During Yahoo!'s last webmail update, I started having
problems while using IE.

I can logon, open, reply, and write e-mail with no
difficulty, but I cannot log out. When I click the 'sign
out' link, the browser goes to the Yahoo! sign out page
with a link 'Return to Yahoo! Mail'. Before the Yahoo!
Mail updates, and on other browsers and computers, when
that link is clicked you're returned to the Yahoo! Mail
sign in page. In my case, I'm returned to the account
page I just signed out of.

I've found that while signed into an account, if I
navigate to Yahoo! Groups or another service, I can log
out with no problem.

Any help is greaty appreciated. Thank you.

Is Yahoo Messenger or Companion also installed and are either of them
running when this happens?

Yahoo! Messenger is installed, Yahoo! Companion is not.
The problem has occured both with Messenger running and
disabled.

Try uninstalling Yahoo Messenger and see if the problem persists.

If you want to reinstall YM, at least choose a Custom Install and choose
your install options carefully, saying No to all extras.
