IE / Yahoo mail problem

I'm suddenly having trouble in Yahoo mail, and they can't duplicate it so
they say it's my browser.

For awhile now, I haven't been able to use the backarrow in Yahoo or another
email service -- it kicks me out of the program (this is a secondary problem
but a real nuisance).

The new problem, in Yahoo only, is that now the buttons no longer work.
Within emails, buttons such as 'forward' and 'reply' do absolutely nothing...
I can press them, but nothing happens. When I am just looking at the list of
emails, buttons such as 'mark' and 'move' are as useless.

This is obviously a major deal, but I cannot fix this on my own. I did
download updates to Windows XP and other Microsoft suggestions, but that
hasn't changed anything. One thing Yahoo suggested was disable IE add-ons.
I haven't tried this, as I wonder if the next time I log on, the automatic
update will just add them on again.

Can anyone help me? Please?

The Yahoo! site is heavily dependent on JavaScript. All of those buttons
within the Yahoo! Mail browser use JS. If you have any kind of script
blocker running, it very well could interfere with the Yahoo! Mail site.

How do I determine if I have a script blocker running? And if I do, what do
I do?

I had this problem also. Yahoo Help was not much help. Reading other posts
here, I found a solution. Go to Tools / Internet Options. On the General
tab, choose "delete files...". This should do the trick. I did for me!!
Good Luck!

After trying everything on G_d's green earth, based on stuff from this web
site and advice from a computer geek friend, and NOTHING working, I took a
chance and checked here again and surprise! Who would have thought the
solution would have been so simple, so basic, as deleting the temporary
internet files?!?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can reply to emails in Yahoo again! << happy dance! : ) >>
