IE and MSN Messenger won't work, have no idea why

When I start IE on my other computer (Win XP home), the
page won't load, yet it loads up just fine with other
browsers...Netscape, Mozilla, etc.

Also when I try to log onto MSN Messenger I get this
message:

"We were unable to sing you in to the .NET Messenger
Service, possibly because of a problem with your Internet
connection. Please try again later."

Obviously since my other browsers and IM programs are
loading fine, it's not a problem with my Internet
connection, but I really have no idea what IS the problem
and what I can do about it. Anyone able to help? Thanks.

Er, nevermind, I had to uncheck some proxy boxes and it
works fine now. I don't know how to delete a post here
so I guess this is the next best thing :p
