Internet Explorer and MSN Messenger

Just wondering if anyone has come across this problem. or have and possible
idea what to do to fix this.

What is happening is when the customer is signing in to his Hotmail account
in Internet Explorer it will freeze because it is also trying to tie / sign
into Msn Messenger as well. I have tried it in Firefox and it works ok, also
i have tried other hotmail accounts and it still freezes in IE. I have
removed the MSN messenger and it will work fine. Once msn messenger is
installed again it will freeze/lockup.

I've tried a repair install as well, also with only sp1 installed. did
updates to sp2 and all after that still does it too.

I ended up removing msn messenger because it is a home business machine and
the customer does not used msn messenger at all. There kids put it on there.
