Internet shortcuts no longer work

LAshooter

I tried the new Firefox browser last weekend. Since i uninstalled it, I've
had a lot of problems with IE. The Address bar I keep at the top of my
screen no longer works (typing in a URL no longer launches IE), but the
Links toolbar next to it still works for loading websites from my Favorites.
I've also noticed that when I right-click in programs like MSN Messenger or
Yahoo Messenger and click "View Profile" IE won't load either. My assumption
is that Firefox took the hyperlink functions, but didn't restore them when I
did an Uninstall. How or where can I fix WinXP so that IE launches again
from these Internet shortcuts or from the context menu???

Thanx,
Wm

Since you have WinXP SP2, you can try this in Start | Run:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" rereg
