IE 7 AND MODEM

I am using IE7 successfully on this computer but am having trouble with my
other computer. Downloaded IE7 and try to go on line but error 797 keeps
coming up saying that I dont have a modem. I reverted back to IE6 and modem
worked fine.
Microsoft error reports come up but cannot get on line to send them. My
modem is a conexant HSF V92 56k PCI modem. In device manager the PCI device
has a yellow mark through it. Have tried reinstalling it but no good with IE7

You should post your question in the IE7 newsgroup *after* you spend
some time reading through the posts there. The IE7 newsgroup is:

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

There are a huge number of posts so it would be smart to start by going
to Google Groups Advanced Search. Use a search term that describes your
problem, constrain the search to the IE7 newsgroup and the date to very
recently.

And no, I'm sorry but I don't have your answer or I would tell you
now. ;-)
