IE 6 sluggish connections

In the past 3 weeks or something has happened to my
internet connection using IE6. It takes forever to load
any page and sometimes fails. I am using XP home ed and
IE 6. Prior to this time everything was fine. Have
scanned with Ad aware and spy bot.

Other computers with same DSL connection have no problems.

Does anybody have any ideas. Did uncle bill release a XP
fix that may have messed this up

Any help or ideas would be great.

And me too, at about the same time. See my post "IE 6
Sluggish" dated 6/4/2004 8:47:37 PM. (Unlike Steve, at
least IE6 doesn't crash for me.) It's just painfully slow
to load a page. IE6 on another computer on the same hub &
modem loads pages quite smartly. ..Bill..

I too had this problem, ran spybot, adware etc. But the
problem was still there. Any FINALLY last night i managed
to crack it, this is what worked for me.

I'm running Norton Anti Virus and a few days ago I did a
Live Update, it seems that there is a problem with the
lastest files (search google for Norton Live update
problem). What you need to do until Norton sort
themselves out is to disable Privacy Control and then
your connection should be whizz fast again, mine was.
