IE 6 connectivity problems

am running Windows 98 w/IE 6 with DSL. also have SBC Yahoo email. no
problems until last 2 weeks staying connected to internet. DSL modem appears
to be running fine. have followed all suggestions on SBC and Microsoft
without success. can anyone help me?

Hi Dac,
Clear your caches and internet files and cookies, then repair your winsock.
To repair winsock try this: open the run command and type : CMD and click OK
in the command Prompt C:\>netsh winsock reset and Press Enter type exit and
Reboot your machine.
