IE 6 on XP SP2 displays non-conforming fonts and format on webpage

after applying all updates and re-installing IE 6, I still have fonts that
are non-standard on any basic web page, including Microsoft.com or MSN.com.
Also, the background color is solid white, no standar 'blue' windows color.
Can anyone suggest where I might look to fix this problem? Thanks!

I'm running Windows XP SP2 with all current updates in place

Check for Accessibility options? Options, Accessibility dialog
(e.g. in IE: press Alt-T,O,Alt-e,...)

Also check for Accessibility settings set via the Control Panel applet.
E.g. Run... control access.cpl,,3

Notice that if you have the High Contrast keyboard shortcut active
you might have accidentally activated this feature by pressing
Alt+LeftShift+PrintScrn (or more likely by pressing Alt-PrintScrn
while the LeftShift key was sticking.)

I'm running Windows XP SP2 with all current updates in place

Good luck
