IE 6 and IE 7

Hi, I do tech support for a number os small businesses, and have noticed a
pattern with IE 6 updating to IE 7. All the systems I deal with are on XP Pro
SP2 with Auto Updates turned on. All systems just use Office 2003 with SP2
installed with AVG and Windows Firewall - very basic set ups. The issue is,
that not systems are being offered IE 7 as a critical update via the Windows
Update service. If I go to the site and try to scan and update manually, it
isn't offered there or anywhere, yet the machine (identical) sitting beside
me is offered the update. In most cases IE 7 was downloaded and installed
automatically, which was great, but this is not the case on all machines. Of
the 40 or so PC's I service, about 15 of them are not offered IE 7 at all.
There is no obvious differences between the PC's. I know I can download and
install IE 7 manually, but why shouldn't the auto update service offer it?
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Paul C
