My system is an XP Home Edition 5.1.2600 SP1. I am using
IE 6.0 with SP1. I use a dial-up modem for connecting to
the internet. I have never had a LAN connection.
Recently, when starting Internet Explorer, I get an error
stating there is no network connection. Previously, IE
would automatically initiate the dial-up connection. Now
I have to initiate it manually, not a major problem, but
an aggravation. Starting Outlook Express will still
initiate the connection automatically as it should. The
dial-up connection is my default connection as it always
has been. I've even tried rebuilding the connection, but
no luck. Any ideas?
