IE 6 hotmail problems

I can't access hotmail through IE 6. Any suggestions could
this be a virus. The site will not load and won't allow
me to sign in. Need to access this email account. Could
this be a virus or a problem with the registry? Scanned
with Mcaffee and it comes up clean. Let me know.
