After I have used ZoneAlarm to "Stop all Internet
Activity" (for added security measures when I'm not
online), I cannot view web pages. IE 6 hangs up indicating
in the lower left hand corner that it apparently
is "Detecting Proxy Settings". What does this mean? And,
is there any way to correct it...(other than to reboot,
which does work)...or, better yet, to prevent it? I used
to think I was losing my cable box connection but I just
noticed that although I cannot view web pages I can use
Outlook express to send & receive my mail. I thought that
maybe I could prevent it by setting IE to offline as well
but somehow I still get the problem. Thanks.
