IE 6 closes,Trying to help a friend

I am trying to help a friend. She has a Dell that is 1 year old with WIN XP
I have already run Ad-Aware and Spybot to clean her computer. I have tried
to reinstall IE but had the same problems as others.I just read in a post P
A Bear's quest. about SBC yahoo software. This is running on this computer.
Could you please help.

Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")
