One of the computers here can't print pictures in Internet
Explorer. None of the print buttons work, you can press
them all you want, nothing happens. Every other computer
here can do this but this one isn't even popping up the
print options box. The problem computer is running Win
2000 pro & IE 6.0.

"Cannot save images as JPEG files", "Cannot view source", "Cannot print", and
"Cannot download", are all common problems in IE which are usually cleared up by
purging the TIF cache.

Here's how to purge the cache manually:

From the IE menu, click on Tools > Internet Options. In the General tab click on
the Delete Files in the Temporary Internet files section. You'll be presented
with an option to delete the offline content as well...that helps also.

If you want to have this done automatically and your surfing habits are such
that you do not need to reuse the existing files in the TIF folders, you can
configure IE to purge the files whenever IE is closed. To implement this
feature, click on Tools>Internet Options>Advanced [tab]. Scroll down the
Settings to the Security section and enable "Empty Temporary Internet Files
folder when browser is closed".

Enabling this setting does not affect cookies nor does it delete the offline
content.

That didn't work. Any other suggestions?

No, sorry but that's all I have on the "cannot print" issue.

After re-reading your post, I noticed that you only specified failure of the
print "buttons". Can printing still be accomplished via menu's File > Print or
using the keyboard Ctrl+P or by using the Print Preview feature? This info may
help others in diagnosing the problem.

It won't print at all. The only way you can print an image
is to copy and paste it into word or an image program.
None of the buttons are "greyed" out, they just don't do
anything. Print preview doesn't even work...usually I can
fix most of the small things like this but this one has me
stumped..I've done everything but reinstall IE 6.

Have you tried an IE Repair? (ref KB194177)

There is a related article which documents its own superset of W2K's
IE Repair and some checks particular to this symptom. (ref KB281679)

And a newer more comprehensive version of that repair (Method 1 here:)
