IE 6 Address Autocomplete Problem

Brad

I've got a nuisance issue when I manually type in addresses in IE 6 (SP1
with update packs as of 10/03 and 11/03 on Win 2k Professional). The
Autocomplete feature attempts to complete my address with a variety of porno
addresses (such as "www2.smutserver.com....some non-specific jpeg". It
doesn't prevent me from finding the correct address, but it won't go away!!
I clear my temp files (on- and offline), delete cookies, and delete history
every time I boot up IE, and I've gone to the Autocomplete tools section and
cleared that history as well, but these porno addresses remain. All other
address entries (microsoft.com pages or mail.yahoo.com pages) are removed.
I've uninstalled IE 6, reinstalled IE 5.5 and then downloaded a new copy of
IE 6, but no help. I've also run my antivirus software, as well as
CWShredder and AdAware. Any thoughts? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

.
Try "Spybot Search and Destroy, its a spyware program.
Its free. There might still be some spyware on your
machine. If there is, this will find it.
