IE 6.0 toolbars reset after crash

Hi All,
I am hoping someone can help me with this as it is slowly driving me
nuts.

I have the following toolbars on my IE.
google
yahoo
Alexa
and then the regular "links bar" and browsing bars.

I arrange them just the way I like them in order to provide as much
"browsing" view as possible, and I always lock the toolbars after
arranging them.

However, whenever IE crashes, the settings ALWAYS reset, and it drives
me crazy.

Is there anyway to prevent this? Or is there anyway to save my settings
so that I don't have to keep rearranging them?

BTW, I think IE is crashing due to a Web site admin screen that i have
to use daily. There is no fix for it right now, and I have to use the
admin app several times a day.

Any suggestions at all are greatly appreciated (except switching to
Firefox).

Thanks!
Morty

Hi And,

Are you using tabbed browsing with your Yahoo toolbar (latest beta
version ). This may be causing IE to crash.

Also the Google and Yahoo toolbars use a Browser Helper to set the position
and size of their toolbars when IE is started, so if IE crashes these
toolbars can be problematic.

I would suggest uninstalling either the Yahoo or Google toolbar and making
do with one or the other. If you want tabbed browsing for IE6 then download
the MSN search toolbar with tabbed browsing http://toolbar.msn.com and
uninstall both the Google and Yahoo toolbars.

Regards.

Hi,
Try this...
Find this registry key
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser]
Export it, then right-click> merge when you need to restore the toolbar
layout.

Hope this helps,

Hmmmm
Not running the new yahoo bar. And I am not sure if I can do without
both toolbars...

Thanks though, I will take it into consideration.
