IE 6.0 takes long time to start

For a while now, I think since I installed SP2, my IE really takes long time
to start. The first time I try to start IE since I started the computer, it
takes around 20-25 seconds for the program to start. If I close that window
and immediately open another, it takes shorter time. If I don't use the
program for a while (an hour or so) it's back to 20+ seconds in start-up time
again.
I use Panda Antivirus and Firewall. Is there a conflict?

Yes, I use Diskkeeper that checks my harddrive several times a day and
defrags when necessary.

Thanks, but I have been using Panda for a couple of years, and it has been
working perfectly all the time. ZoneAlarm on the other hand (that I used
before Panda) didn't work at all on this computer. Browsing got interrupted
all the time. I don't think it has anything to do with Panda, but with SP2. I
have heard about several problems with this update. Just wondering if anybody
have had the same problem as me. I can live with the delay....it's not critic.

One thing you might try is disabling Panda and starting IE6. I used Panda
some time ago and found that it seemed to slow browsing and email. Currently
I am using Avant Antivirus and Zone Alarm firewall and seem to have a better
time of it.
