IE 6.0 Suddenly will not start

IE 6 was working fine. After closing it and opening it later in the day
from the desktop (or anywhere else) it will not respond. I've uninstalled
it, reinstalled it from microsofts site. I've reinstalled XP. Tryed
repairing XP etc etc.

Nothing works.
My friend is having the exact same problem that started a week ago.

Any suggestions?
