IE 6.0 Hangs after page opens

When I open any pages with IE 6.0 it opens the page fine
but then hangs for about 15 seconds before i can enter any
information or change anything in the address bar. After
the wait it seems to function normally, but when i goto
another page or reload the same page it hangs again as it
does on every page. I thought maybe it was my computer
but outlook express and all other programs seem to work
normally. This happend last thursday night when I opened
IE6 and has been this way every since. Anybody have any
ideas?

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

I have exactly the same symptoms. It began around the
same timeframe last thurs/fri (2/26-2/27). sometimes the
pages hang for up to a minute though. It is extremely
aggravating. I've used different wi-fi services, so i've
eliminated any issues w/ my broadband provider. i've also
done virus checks and found nothing. i'll look into some
of the suggestions in this thread and check back, but it
appears that there's a wider scale issue here.

Your ideas about using search and destroy, hijack this,
and cwshredder did not work. It did not find anything and
it still hangs. any other ideas?

I have tried Spybot S&D, Hijack This, and CWShredder.
None of them solved the problem. Any more ideas?
