IE hanging problem.

Hi,
I'm using windows 2003 R2 operating system is my desktop.In my
m/c i have IE 6.0 with SP2 .Whenever i try to open IE ,it doesn't opens
properly ,The IE page gets hanged at the very first instance for a while and
then the page opens . I feel the refreshment time is more for opening the IE
process.
Any solution for this issue ,plz help to fix this ASAP.

First thing to try is to totally clear your TIF and History:

If clearing them via IE's Tools...Internet Options...General tab interface
doesn't do the trick, then follow the instructions to delete the History and
Temporary Internet Files *folders* - to get their respective super-hidden
index.dat files.
