I'm running XP Home.
While recently using msconfig to look at startup items and deactivate things
I didn't want to start when I boot, I noticed W815DM. Can anyone tell me
what it is, what it does, and whether I need it to run on startup?
The command is C:\WINDOWS\W815DM.exe. The location is
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
FWIW, I checked Pacman's (Paul Collins's) 4649 item long Sartup application
List, http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php, to no avail.
I'm reluctant to turn it off to see what happens, because it's a shared
family computer, and I won't necessarily get good feedback on what goes
wrong and when.
Thanks,
Bill
