ICS Setup problem on XP

My setup previously had been working OK, ( 2 computers networked together
with 1 computer directly linked to Internet via a network card).

Now the remote computer is unable to connect to internet.

I checked on the internet computer, and found that the ICS tick box on the
'Advanced' tab on network (internet cable) properties had been ticked.

Just to see if anything different would happen I unchecked it and saved the
settings.

Now I am trying to tick the box to enable ICS and I get a Network
Connections error message "An error occurred while Internet Connection
Sharing was being enabled. The service cannot accept control messages at
this time"

Anybody any idea how I can reset ICS ????

Have you tried rebooting the host and then going back to tick on ICS?
