ICS problems

I have an ADSL internet connection with a router that
connects 4 computers to the internet. I am trying to
connect a 5th computer through one of those 4 computers
using internet connection sharing. When i try to enable
the ICS i get the following error:
error occured while internet connection sharing was being
enabled The service cannot attempt control messages at
this time.

Does anyone have an idea what i can do about this.

Leon,

don't do it. Buy a switch instead. A small Ethernet switch is
very cheap.

In cases like yours I like the tiny 5 port switches made by
Prime that fit in your hand and can be put nearly anywhere.

In theory it could work, but ICS forces one particular IP
address, to give just one example why it is problematic.
