Check if you have the Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client
installed.

Right-click on your My Network Places.
Select Properties.
Click on Advanced from the Menu and select Optional Networking Components
Highlight Networking Services and click on Details ...
Ensure that Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client is checked
(if not, check this and click OK, click Next)

Thanks for your response
I can not see Internet Gateway Device discovery or
control client.
All I've got is:
RIP Listener
Simple TCP/IP Services
Universal Plug and Play

You have to have SP1 to see the option. On SP0 it is always on.

Make sure your SSDP Discovery Services are running.

If it is then the culprit always seems to be a firewall, virus scanner,
parental controls software, etc.
