1. Should I use the ICS, or another third-party program. Which is better?
And is there any recommendation of this type of third-party program?

2. How can I transfer files from my one computer to my another computer (apart
from "thorugh Internet", or "through CD")?
I get:
- 1 straight cable is linked from ASDL modem to LAN No.1 in my host computer
- 1 cross-over cable is linked from LAN No.2 (in host computer) to my client
computer

What do I need to set?
What software do I need to install?

Your infrastructure is sound and you don't need any additional software.
Click the Advanced tab for LAN No. 1 and check the box to allow others to
share the Internet connection.

There are plenty of third party products that offer more features and
components which may be of interest to you, but I don't know that any are
'better' than ICS at sharing an Internet connection.

ICS is OK and free. quoted from http://www.ChicagoTech.net
Network Configuration

1. Workgroup - it is better to setup a same workgroup on all computers
2. Client for MS Network - must be enabled to access the network
3. File and Printer Sharing - accessed computer should enable the File and
Printer Sharing for other computers accessing
4. User Accounts - for users logon and setup permission
5. Permission - setup necessary permission for users to access network
resources
6. Protocol - TCP/IP is we want

We assume you have all computers physically connected to a router which is
connecting to the Internet. The router is also a DHCP server.
