Icons looking weird

My icons from taskbar and menus look weird like they would
have an 800X600 resolution(I can almost see the squares they are
formed whit ) . My desktop resolution is 1024X768 and I have a lcd.

Set the resolution on the LCD display to whatever is denoted in your
documentation. LCD screens don't work well at resolutions other than their
native resolution.
