Icons do not show

I am running Office XP on a windows 2000 workstation, the icons do not appear
for the corresponding document. Instead of a word document showing a W icon
it is showing as if the extension is uknown, however if you double click the
document it will open up in word.

Any ideas?

And this is related to Microsoft Access (the database application) how?

Did you even look at this newsgroup before posting to it?
