Icons Displayed Incorrectly in windows xp

I installed a kids game, Elmo, and now almost all of my
icons are elmo icons. My Microsoft word icon is
elmo...all my programs are icons of elmo...can someone
help me get back my default icons? And what happened

You can restore the desktop icons by doing the following

- right click anywhere on the desktop
- select Properties
- click on Customize Desktop
- Then click on Restore Default
