I have a very strange problem. Several applications that
I have running, including the Volume Control, Microsoft
Active sync and the Mouse normally have icons in the
Notification area. When I reboot these icons disappear
even though the programs are still running. I can bring
them back by using a System Restore Point, but when I
shut down the computer and restart, the icons are gone
again. The icons for Norton Antivirus and Internet
Security are not effected (they remain displayed). Any
ideas would be appreciated.
By default, Windows XP hides any inactive icons here.
