Hi Maria,

Some info here that may help:

I am trying to show [always] the power icon of my laptop but it doesn't stick!!. Is there any registry key I need to change manually so that the power Icon always shows on the takbar no matter which account I use?

I have tried by right-clicking on the taskbar and changing the properties/customise and put everyting as "ALWAYS SHOW" but it doesn't show. I also have tried doing his whilst logged in as Administrator but the changes don't filter through to other accounts on the laptop. I am using Windows XP Professional (SP2).

Thank you.

Do you have

"Always show icon on the taskbar" checked in

Control Panel > Power Options > Advanced ?

I hear you! But that is my problem, I never think simple! Bad on me. <w>

Is ok, you would think by now I would have smelled the coffee. I get
systems here clearly telling me what the error is and I think, nah.....this
is software related. But guess what, the errors have been correct lately.

Hmm, thinking to self, time to give up my day job, which is sleeping or
doing more of it.)
