Has anyone deployed Windows XP to an IBM T43 Laptop? If you have how did you
get the drivers to work in the image. I have created the $oem $ Directory
and placed the files for the driver in the images i386 root.

What else can I do. We have to use RIS.

Make sure to install hotfix KB823658 which fixes an issue with the
inf-file parser for RIS.
