i8042prt error

Ellie

I have a Dell P4 running WinXP. All of a sudden I'm
getting an Error Message, Event ID 7026 stating "The
following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to
load: i8042prt" This happens only when trying to print
and it causes the system to crash and reboot itself.
The research I've done indicates this relates to PS/2-
style keyboard and mouse devices. However everything I'm
running is USB. Can anyone tell me where to go next?
