I want to sync outlook PC-notebook but error = notebook file is r.

I am trying to use Easy2Sync on my wireless network to sync Outlook on my pc
and notebook. Easy2Sync says that the outlook file on the notebook is read
only but in the properties of the PST file it is not shown as such.
How do I set the access to permit synchronising?

Is Outlook running on the Notebook or is there possibly an application that
has the Outlook process running?
When the PST is "open" then it is read-only.
