I want to change my TOC to include hyperlinks...

I am modifying an existing Word Document and one of the things I want to do
is modify the TOC so that I can click the lines in the TOC and jump to the
titled section.

The Document I have uses TOC 1 as the TOC style. I have seemingly clicked
every option possible to turn on hyperlinks but have not found the correct
option.

I have only created a few documents with TOC's but all of them do have the
hyperlinks.

Is there a way to modify this existing TOC to include hyperlinks?

While at the TOC, show field codes (Alt+F9). On the line that starts
something like {TOC \w \t ...} add a space and \h after the word TOC. This
should make it a hyperlink. Turn off field codes (Alt+F9)
