i want the standby option

i rebooted my computer and now i have lost the standby optiom, i was wondering how to get it back, please help!

What did you do before you rebooted the computer? New driver or other
change?

Check in Device Manager that the Computer is still listed as APM or ACPI
compliant. If yes, then check in Power Options that Standby is enabled.
