I want a series of images to run in a box on a PP slide?

I can run a slideshow of pictures from my digital camera on my computer, but
what I want is to put that slideshow into a box on a PP slide so that the
pictures change by themselves while I develop the information of the rest of
the slide.

Here's a start but you will need to experiment!
Insert > picture from file
shift select all your pictures and insert
They should be neatly stacked overlapping.
Select the back picture and apply an entrance animation
Now the same with the next to back
Continue to the front being careful not to miss any.

In custom animation shift select all the animations and set to after
previous with a delay of your choice.

When it works select all and in the draw menu align centres and middles
