I need to reduce the size of my outlook pst folder

My pst folder is way too big. I've been deleting old emails like crazy and
when I do a search on the pst folder using the windows search command, it
does not seem to have reduced in size. I've cleaned out the deleted files as
well. Thoughts?

In the Folder List view, try right-clicking on the top-level folder and go
to properties, advanced, compact folder. Might want to run it a couple of
times.

The pst file is a database. Databases often just flag deleted records for
reuse without actually removing the information unless you force it. You
need to compact your pst file:
Tools|Services|PersonalFolders|Properties|CompactNow.
