I need to place a French Grave Accent on the letter ''u'' in a document.
Microsoft has referred me to the Language section and advised me to type the
document on the French Canadian Keyboard.
However, this has produced no result. The fact is that there is no Grave
Accent by itself that I might add to the letter ''u''. There is ''a'' with
its own grave accent as well as ''e''. But, I need to have the accent
separately to add it to the letter ''u'' and even to the letter ''o'' for
some Haitian-creole documents. How can you help me ?

What happens if you press Ctrl+` (that is, hold down the Ctrl key, type `,
and release both keys) and type u?

Or what happens if you hold down the Alt key, type 0249 from the numeric
keypad (not from the top row of numbers on the keyboard), and release the Alt
key?
